PERSONAL CHARACTER DATA PROTECTION IMPLEMENTATION OF THE REGULATION 2016/679 EU

Since 25.5.2018 the new General Regulation for Data Protection (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council has been applied, known as the GDPR, which strengthens the protection of personal data throughout the European Union.

THE HOLY MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI with respect to your personal data, applies the new Regulation for data processing and informs you in detail.

It is a commitment of the HOLY MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI to on the one hand to abide by the confidentiality laws and security of Personal Data (PD) and on the other hand, comply with the applicable laws and regulations on PD processing.

For this purpose, please read the Privacy Policy of the MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI and your rights as Subjects of Personal Data and then sign the following "STATEMENT OF CONSENT FOR PROCESSING PD".

With this STATEMENT you provide your explicit consent to the processing, collection and storage of your personal data for the purpose of hosting to the MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI and the process of sending informative material from the Monastery.

  When you fill in your personal information, such as your name, Passport or ID number, your address and any other sensitive personal data via printed or electronic form, you agree to the processing of your personal data ONLY for the purpose stated on the form you filled out.

Under no circumstances will your personal information be transferred or used by a third party.

THE HOLY MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI has adopted policies and implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure that the personal data it collects is protected in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

These security measures are designed to prevent unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure of data, unauthorized modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss of your personal data.

Your personal data is kept by the HOLY MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI only for as long as it is necessary for the realization of the purposes of processing according to the current laws and after the realization of the purpose it receives encryption and delegitimization.

We do not collect more personal data than we need to accomplish the purposes mentioned in the current Privacy Policy and we will not retain it for more than the period of time deemed necessary to serve that purpose.

Your rights regarding the protection of your personal data

Your rights for the protection of your personal data, as they apply under the conditions defined in the General Regulation of Personal Data (EU 679/2016) and in the applicable national legislation, are the following:

• The right to access your personal data maintained, owned and processed by the HOLY MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI.
• The right to correct inaccurate or outdated data concerning you or to supplement your incomplete data.
• The right to delete your data from the archives of the HOLY MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI if its processing is not necessary to pursue the purposes for which it has been collected.
• The right to restrict the use of your data in case you dispute its accuracy.
• The right to download the data you have provided in a structured, commonly used format.

The exercise of the above-mentioned rights presupposes the submission, free of charge, of a written application to the HOLY MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI.
